Linda Feldman
After an education and professional experience in Music, Arts, and Special Education, Linda Feldman joined Spectrum360 in 1990. For 32 years, Linda made a long-lasting impact on each individual she worked with as well as the organization as a whole. By creating and managing the music program in both Academy360 Lower and Upper Schools, she ensured that participants were having positive experiences when playing instruments, performing, or appreciating different genres of music. During her first year with our organization, Linda was responsible for starting the Notables, the Academy360 musical ensemble that went on to perform at the New York Stock Exchange, The New Jersey Senate Floor, and Federal Hall in New York City. She wrote and directed many of the musicals for Academy360 and directed the Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music, The Little Mermaid, and Lion King that were performed on a professional stage. Linda also made an impact on those with other interests. She started the Cheerleading Squad, the Girl Scout Troop in which four of the most seasoned scouts earned the Gold Award, as well as ran the Cultural Arts Program and the Respite Program.
Not only is Linda such a light in the schools, she also is a huge helping hand to the organization throughout the entire year. Linda and her husband, Barry, donated a room to the Academy360 Upper School as well as always graciously volunteering for many events like the Walk for a Lifetime, Hall of Fame Dinner, and more. In 1995 and in 2014, Linda was awarded Teacher of the Year, and in 2019, she received the prestigious NAPSEC Award for Leadership and Most Innovative Programming at Academy360 Upper School.
For 32 years Linda and her dedication to the autism community has made such a positive impact on the lives of countless students, adults, families, staff, volunteers, and community members with whom she interacted. Her creative ideas and endless effort helped Spectrum360 flourish and contributed greatly to the successful history of the organization.
