Together We Make a Difference!!

Welcome to Melina's Angel Hearts fundraising page for HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer! When you support the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) through a donation to my Fundraising Team - Melina's Angel Hearts - you help fund critical research and programming that helps me win my fight against ovarian cancer.  MOCA has given over 10 million dollars to the ovarian cancer research oncologist at the University of Minnesota! I benefit from this funding because the researcher is a collegue of my oncologist and they all meet weekly to consult and review each case. Also, when you register to join Melina's Angel Hearts team for a 2k walk or 5k run - you also support me in my 2k walk.  It will be incredible to have so many of my loved ones - my Angel Hearts - surrounding me and walking with me on this part of my journey!

During my first hospital stay of this journey. I'd just been diagnosed and admitted so they could confirm biopsy, drain my abdomen, and get me stabilized. Yea, I kind of look like I was blind-sided.

This was taken Nov 1, 2021 - 3 days before I had hair cut short into a pixie and 13 days before it all started falling out. My hair is longer than this - must have pulled it back.
