Welcome to my fundraising page! We have had a busy and chaotic summer; however, we are getting ready to participate in Teal Strides on September 11th! We all look forward to being back in person at the event.
We fundraise annually in memory of our mom, Kathie Kelly. She left us far too soon at the young age of 56, after battling ovarian cancer for 21 months. I was only 19 when I lost my mom, and I so wish she was here each and every day to provide love and support to us all. She would have LOVED to spoil her grandkiddos. We just do our best to help them understand that, and keep her memory alive. Although it breaks my heart a little bit, it also makes me smile, each time my daughter says, "Mom, I wish I could have met Grandma Kathie." I love that she knows who her Grandma was, and that she would have provided so much love.
I appreciate any donation, and am so thankful that you support the Kruisin' for Kathie team and help us reach our goal. By doing thing, we are able to support the MOCA and help them help other families dealing with ovarian cancer. Hopefully we continue to see advancements in testing, treatment, and perhaps eventually a cure for ovarian cancer.
