My name is A.J. Two weeks ago, my heart was broken. It was a Monday and, like any other Monday, I was bringing the trash bins back in when I saw a little boy with his mom. He had a toy he was looking at and it was taking him a while to get back to their car. His mom said, "Jonny, let's go." So I assumed his name was Jonny. The next morning, I was on my way to school when I saw the same car in the same spot on our street. It hadn't moved all night. Huh? I realized that they must not have a home to go to, that they had spent the night in their car. I felt so sad for Jonny and his mom. Imagine having to sleep in a car seat every night!
So now I am doing HomeWalk. HomeWalk is a program where you run, walk, jog, etc. to raise money to help people and families who are dealing with homelessness.
And I am asking you to support me as I run for little Jonny and his mom and all the other homeless people out there.
