Welcome to Wetzel's Warriors, my fundraising page for HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer!
You may recall that Joy was first diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer in January 2001 and had two recurrences. Her outstanding care at the Mayo Clinic allowed her to enjoy 13.75 years of a wonderful life. She joined the board of the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) in 2002 and served until shortly before her passing in November 2014. I have also served on the board for seven years and just returned to it in May of this year.
When you support MOCA through a registration or a donation to my HOM Teal Strides page, you help fund critical research, provide support to women and their families, educate the medical community and raise awareness of this disease that impacts approximately 15,000 women in the US each year.
Please donate today to help me make a difference against ovarian cancer and consider joining me to walk / run against this disease on Saturday, September 9 at Rosland Park in Edina.
Thank you for making a difference in ovarian cancer research and support.
