For more than two decades, I was fortunate to hear the words every ovarian cancer survivor hopes for: no evidence of disease. Now, as a 21-year survivor, I’m facing a recurrence. 

It’s a hard turn in my story, but I’m not facing it alone. I’m fortunate to have the support of my family, my friends and the MOCA community. 

This year, I’m even more energized to serve as a Co-Chair of HOM Teal Strides for Ovarian Cancer and fundraise for the cause. My dear friend John Harney will be tripling every donation made to my fundraising page! 

Every dollar you donate goes three times as far. Your $25 gift becomes $75 for the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance. Your $100 donation becomes $300.  

I’m asking you to join me in helping MOCA fund critical ovarian cancer research, education and support programs that can change what an ovarian cancer diagnosis—and a recurrence—looks like for the next person.

I took part in my first MOCA walk and run event just one year after I was diagnosed. At that moment, I knew I wasn’t alone. 21 years later, your support is lifting me up once again as I deal with my recurrence.
