Ten Years Free: Walking for Hope, Strength, and a Cure

Ten years ago, my life changed in an instant when I was diagnosed with dysgerminoma, a rare form of ovarian cancer. What followed was a whirlwind of surgery to remove the tumor, a recurrence the very next year, and a challenging round of chemotherapy.

Fast forward to today: I am officially ten years cancer-free.

Reaching this decade milestone fills me with immense gratitude. I am deeply blessed to be here, and I owe so much to the incredible medical team who cared for me, the extraordinary treatments that saved my life, and the unwavering support of my family and friends through every step of that journey.

This year, I am walking and fundraising for the Minnesota Ovarian Cancer Alliance (MOCA) because no one should have to face this disease alone. MOCA works tirelessly to fund critical research for early detection and better treatments, while providing vital support to women and families navigating a diagnosis.

When I step onto the path, I won't just be walking for myself. I walk alongside every woman who has ever been impacted by that six-letter word—cancer. With every single step, I feel the collective strength, resilience, and hope of our community.

Whether it is $5 or $50, your support helps fund research that gives other women the chance to celebrate their own ten-year milestones.
