As many of you know on February 9th, we celebrated Rhiannon’s 2nd year Bone Marrow Transplant Anniversary. The transplant marked the end of the pain and suffering that Rhiannon endured for 13 years and ushered in a new era of recovery and endless promise and opportunity for Rhiannon’s future. Her journey was tumultuous, but fortunately, there were so many people who helped her and our family along the way including Hope for Henry. Hope for Henry (HFH) was instrumental in Rhiannon’s Bone Marrow Transplant success from the very moment that she entered the hospital and HFH is still motivating and energizing her to burrow through her obstacles to achieve the improbable.
HFH mission is three-pronged. HFH helps families and patients to personalize their care, make healing fun for patients in the hospital and at home, and empower patients to overcome their healthcare challenges, emboldening them to become their own greatest advocates. We are truly blessed to have been nourished spiritually and emotionally by this amazing organization and I encourage each of you to become familiar with the great work that they do.
More specifically, we, The Perry’s, will be participating in the HFH Mother’s Day 5K. This will be the first major physical fitness endeavor that Rhiannon embarks on post-transplant. This will be the first time in Rhiannon’s entire life that she won’t fear agonizing pain from the simple task of walking. In honor of this truly fantastic accomplishment, we would like to ask you to support our walk for HFH.
