Dear Family and Friends,

In February, Rhiannon celebrated her two-year Bone Marrow Transplant anniversary. That day marked the end of agonizing pain, fear and suffering, and usher in a new era of recovery and boundless opportunity for Rhiannon’s future. Rhiannon’s journey was tumultuous.  She suffered 13 years of severe and intense pain and countless needless and procedures. Yet, the burden of her suffering and the harrowing journey was lessened by so many people and organizations, including Hope for Henry (HFH). HFH was a critical component to Rhiannon’s bone marrow transplant success. They helped to motivate and uplift Rhiannon through her transplant and are still motivating and inspiring her today.

HFH mission is three-pronged. They offer personalized care options for patients and families both in-patient and at home. They are driven to make healing fun for patients and empower patients to become their own greatest advocates. It is said that optimism is the faith that leads to achievement, nothing is possible without hope and confidence. HFH infuses hope and optimism and reinforces confidence throughout every hospital room, operating room, injection room, or corridor that a child travels on their journey to recovery.

We, The Perry’s, will be participating in the HFH Mother’s Day 5K. This will be the first major physical fitness endeavor that Rhiannon will embark on post-transplant. This will be the first time in Rhiannon’s entire life that she won’t fear agonizing pain from the simple task of walking. In honor of this truly fantastic accomplishment, we would like to ask you to support our walk for HFH.  Would like to ask for your support in giving back to an organization that not only helped our family, but that is helping countless children, throughout the United States, to thrive during the scariest time of their little lives.
