Yes, please! Strollers are welcome and kids under 12 run free. Though t-shirts are not provided for 12 & under, they can be purchased for $20 at the end of the adult registration page or on the site's storefront.
Do I need to be a part of a team to participate?
Absolutely not! Your individual participation and fundraising make a huge difference on their own.
If you'd like to join a team rather than create your own, reach out and we can get you connected with someone who needs more team members!
What is a team?
A team is simply a group of people who register for the 5K together and fundraise toward a shared goal. Teams can run, walk, or fundraise only.
Common teams include:
Workplaces or companies
Churches or small groups
Gyms or fitness groups
Families and friend groups
Do I need to be a runner to be on a team?
No. You are welcome to fundraise only and still be part of a team. Participation looks different for everyone.
What is a Team Captain?
Each team has one Team Captain who:
Creates the team page during registration
Invites others to join the team
Encourages team fundraising
Team Captains are not responsible for collecting money — Bloomerang handles all donations securely online.
How much should a team raise?
Our suggested team goal is $1,000.
That typically looks like:
8 team members raising $125 each, or
A few friends and family members supporting your effort
Every dollar makes an impact.
How do I start a team on the website?
Register for the event, select “Create a Team,” choose a team name, and invite others to join you.
Our suggested team fundraising goal is $1,000.
Do I have to fundraise to participate?
Fundraising is encouraged but not required. Every gift helps protect access to compassionate care and ensures families are met with consistency and support.
