Hope can show up as determination, courage, faith, dignity, love, sincerity, kindness, compassion, resilience, humanity, and so many other ways - it's up to us to determine how we let it inspire us. I have been working with Tacoma Community House since 2009 and no matter how tumultuous the state of the world, our selfless team, with the steadfast support of our donors and supporters continues to be 100% dedicated to meeting the needs of our community when they most need critical support whether that be distributing masks, at-home Covid testing kits, food boxes or lending our parking lot for drive-thru testing during Covid-19, distributing gift cards and basic need items, expanding our English Language Acquisition classes to Ukrainian Refugees as they fled their war-torn country, adjusting to policymakers' differing opinions about immigration, hosting a mobile food bank, or mobile health clinic for our community members who trust us...helping a young person struggling with housing instability, even providing services to those seeking educational advancement or job search resources. Our motivation for change is only one thread of our story of hope - this story can only continue to be written together with you.
