Our family has been participating in 'Sailing for Others' for the past five years. This WCSC Sailing Event has become a family ritual. The event brings friends and families together for a great cause. However, ever since my mom, Mary Ellen, entered assisted living care six months ago, the need for hospice care has taken on a whole new meaning and importance. The help and support the medical community has provided for my mother during her transition to senior living has been tremendous. The day will come when she will need more care during her final days, and it is nice to know that my family can give back to the medical care community in this way.
Hospice of the Upstate is a non-profit Hospice. The funds raised through this event hosted by Western Carolina Sailing Club are used to support patients without insurance and to help fund bereavement programs and other special programs offered by Hospice of the Upstate.
Hospice of the Upstate is certainly worthy of our support. I hope you will generosity help me support them through this event.
