HR Florida State Council understands the importance of corporate responsibility and the value of “giving back” to our communities. Each year, we select a charity to be highlighted throughout the year, and local chapters across the state participate in special events, some of their own design and some state-wide, to help raise funds for the charity.
HR Florida State Council is proud to announce this year's charity partner: Feeding Florida. All proceeds from this year's charity event, including your registrations and donations, will benefit Feeding Florida!
With just $15, Feeding Florida's food banks can feed a family of four for almost a week. Imagine the impact HR Florida State Council will be able to make through this year's effort, and many families we can help. Consider helping us feed Florida's families and donate meals today.

Will you help us raise money for our food banks in Florida?
Here are two ways to get started:
1- If you want to donate to a team (HR Florida Chapter) directly, just click the DONATE button above, below, or to the right. Select the SHRM chapter and they'll get the credit for your donation.
2- If you think you can make a bigger impact, by getting coworkers, friends, and families to donate, then REGISTER to join a chapter's team (also above, below and to the right) to create your own ask page. All monies raised will count toward your team's goal, but you'll be able to send emails and social media messages with the click of a button, making fundraising super easy!
Because sometimes fundraising can be a little scary, personal pages make it easy. But imagine how much scarier it is to find barely any food in your kitchen this week. We can do this!

Feeding Florida is the state's leading organization in the fight to end hunger. The statewide network unites 12-member Feeding America food banks to provide a healthy, adequate, and consistent food supply to every community every day. Feeding Florida member food banks support the state's 67 counties with more than 2,400 local food pantries. Feeding Florida’s member food banks include: All Faiths Food Bank, Bread of the Mighty, Feeding Northeast Florida, Feeding South Florida, Feeding Tampa Bay, Feeding the Gulf Coast, First Step Food Bank, Florida Gateway Food Bank, Harry Chapin Food Bank of Southwest Florida, Second Harvest of the Big Bend, Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, and Treasure Coast Food Bank.
About Hunger in Florida
- There are over 3.1 million Floridians that are food-insecure, of which 900,000 are children.
- Feeding Florida food banks distributed 522 million pounds of food to these individuals and families last fiscal year.
- Feeding Florida food banks work every day to make sure people in every single Florida county have a consistent food source, not one-off drop offs. This means a food-insecure family can rely on regularly scheduled support to help them reach the end of the month, allowing them to make tough decisions a little bit easier.
