ABOUT THE PROJECT
During the past 11 years serving in Terekeka, South Sudan, Harvesters has been fortunate to develop a strong rapport with the Mundari community and has significantly influenced their positive view of education through its highly coveted primary school.
However, as of today, attending a local secondary school in Terekeka is not an option for children in the community. With boarding schools in Juba being the only option, most families are unable to make the significant investment it takes to send their child away to secondary school. For the Mundari people, sending their children to secondary school involves extreme sacrifice and requires them to choose the
long-term benefit over immediate needs.
After much prayerful consideration, Harvesters' believes they have the opportunity to provide primary school graduates with a quality secondary school education that's currently not available to students in the region - which will continue to help bolster the futures for these Mundari families. While running a secondary school will be no easy feat, it is critically important, and we believe we're currently positioned to be able to open one in Terekeka with great success.

PROJECT’S SCOPE
We are planning a 3-phase approach in an effort to complete construction of the entire secondary school campus in 3 years' time.
As the construction progresses, the plan is to have Senior classes 1 and 2 open in 2022, Senior class 3 in 2023, and Senior class 4 in 2024.

Donate a Student's School Lunch for 1 Year

This amount will cover the cost of 1 secondary student's school lunch for 1 school year at Harvesters' Christian Secondary School in Terekeka, South Sudan. At full capacity, the school will accommodate 240 students, many of whom will not be able to afford the school lunch fee. Your gift will help to meet our students' need.
Donate a School Cook's
Annual Salary

This amount will cover an annual salary of a cook at Harvesters' Christian Secondary School in Terekeka, South Sudan. In our first year of operating, we will staff 2 cooks. Once the school is operating at full capacity it will staff a total of 4 cooks.
Donate a Guard's

This amount will cover an annual salary of a guard at Harvesters' Christian Secondary School in Terekeka, South Sudan. A guard will help provide a presence of security and monitoring at the secondary school. The secondary school will employ a total of 2 guards.
