In 2013, the universe lost the most amazing, loving, brilliant, and funny spirit. Ovarian cancer had never even crossed my mind until a single phone call years earlier from my favorite Aunt introduced it into our families' vocabulary with incredible force at Stage 4. Rhonda Lundquist never felt sorry, never felt like a victim. She always looked for a way to beat this thing, to live WITH cancer for as long as possible, to be there for her wife, Ann and son, Antonio. She was a writer, a painter. She planned amazing parties, even if she forgot to attend them. Her friends reached far and she reached even farther for her friends.
