Lucy was taken from us years too early because of ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is the fifth leading cause of women's cancer deaths at a rate of 11.4 deaths per 100,000 women. It does not get the attention that other cancers get and it is one of the more difficult cancers to diagnose and treat.
