Hey, my name is Grant! I'm a senior in highschool, and I really love Jesus, my family and friends, guitars, Chick-fil-A, and.... Haiti! I've been to Haiti twice, and both were amazing experiences. Haiti is one of the most impoverished nations in the world, yet the people there have so much more joy with their little than we Americans in our abundance. I was doing my Bible study the other day, and found Psalm 4:7-8. It says "You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound. In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." This verse jumped out to me, and I didn't know it then, but I think it's a perfect summarization of the attitude of Haitian believers. They are filled with joy in the Lord because He is their strength. They know that joy is not determined by circumstance, good or bad; joy is found in Christ, and peace in His presence. That's one of the unique dynamics of these trips to Haiti. Often times, we go  expecting to make a change in them, to aid them. While we certainly do our share of that in many ways, it's often us, the team, that leaves more changed and aided spiritually by them. It's truly a God thing, for He is alive and at work in Haiti. So, that's a little bit about me, about my passion, and about Haiti. I would really appreciate it if you would partner with me by donating financially.
