We are so excited for this years 1st Annual LACE'EM UP for Epilepsy Walk. For those that don't know, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy in July of 2011, 10 months after a Traumatic brain injury from a soccer injury. I was diagnosed with complex partial seizures and simple partial seizures. In late 2015 we were told I had what was called "Refractory Epilepsy" or Drug Resistant Epilepsy, meaning none of the 7 different medications I have tried was helping to control my seizures. The next best option for me for a better quality of life was a surgery, In early February 2016 I had surgery to get my VNS implanted. My seizures have dramatically decreased but I am still not seizure free but continue to live each and everyday as its my last. This year will you join me in person or virtually to help reach our team goal of $2,000 to not only me but all who are in the fight to live a seizure free life. We look forward to seeing you!
