I believe that there are enough resources in this country for everyone to have access to nourishing food. 

The obstacles that prohibit people from obtaining meals needs to be addressed through the work of both nonprofit organizations and government agencies.  There is a need for legislative changes; including raising the minimun wage to a livable one, increased investment in education and healthcare, and committing to the continued oversight of commerce and finance industries to help stabilize the economy.

As the Donor Relations Coordinator at the Food Bank of Northwest Indiana, I am the team leader of this group of our supporters for this event. You don't have to be a monthly donor to be on my team; we want all friends and family and any community member who wants to support this dedicated group and their efforts to provide 3 square meals every month to neighbors facing food insecurity.

Will you join us in raising funds by participating in Hunger Hike to feed neighbors in need in Lake and Porter Counties?
