This year, we’re proud to participate in the iCare Challenge supporting Harmony House and the important work they do for survivors in Southwest Missouri.
For empower: abilities, participating in iCare is also an opportunity to raise awareness about the intersection of disability and domestic violence.
People with disabilities can experience violence and abuse at higher rates and may face additional barriers when trying to seek help, communicate what is happening, find accessible services, or safely leave an abusive situation.
That’s why education, accessibility, and strong community partnerships matter.
At empower: abilities, we believe protecting and supporting people in our community takes all of us. We are grateful for partners like Harmony House and for opportunities to work together, learn from one another, and help ensure services are accessible and inclusive of people with disabilities.
? You can help, too!
Support our iCare Challenge by making a donation, sharing our fundraising page, or simply helping us spread awareness.
Every contribution helps support Harmony House and survivors in our community.
Together, we can build a Southwest Missouri where everyone has access to safety, support, and the opportunity to live independently and free from violence.
We care. We advocate. We educate. We empower.
