There is nature wherever you go. In your garden. In a local flower shop. Or in a forest. It is the source of life. With nature being apart of one of the four different types of Earth’s spheres, while at the same time being very connected to others. However every day, trash pollutes and threatens the value of life each day. Trash. It’s one of the things that can have a negative impact in our society. If we failed to properly manage it, the world would be overrun with pollution. One of these examples is the beach. The trash inside the ocean is constantly washing ashore on beaches worldwide. In the sand, they are small pieces of plastic buried below hidden from the naked eye. While metal detections can prevent some objects from being trash, other materials such as plastic can be just as hazardous to the environment.
Here are several important reasons why plastic can be harmful to our oceans:
Harm to marine life (Sea animals often mistake plastic for food causing internal injuries or death)
Entangled risks (Items like plastic bags, fishing lines, and six-pack rings can entangled marine animals, restricting movement, causing injuries, or leading to drowning
Toxic chemicals (Plastics can absorb harmful chemicals from the water. When margins animals ingest plastic, these toxins can affect sea animals reproduction and overall health.)
