Poaching happens fast, and we often miss it. Our project EcoLink helps solve this issue. We implemented acoustic sensors that help detect artifical noise, such as gunshots or truck sounds. This turns on a camera inside our device and alerts the owner of the disturbance.
We built a trail camera that has a external camera and microphone. In the future it could have a wireless connection via satellite to a land owners device, which would alert them if poachers are suspected in the area.
