As Executive Director of InReach, I see every day how urgently LGBTQ+ people need safe, reliable ways to find help, and why this work can’t wait. It’s also personal for me as a parent to a nonbinary young person growing up in a state that too often feels unsafe for them. Loving your child is easy; watching them navigate hostility, misinformation, and policies that deny their dignity is not. I know what it means to lie awake wondering if your kid will be protected at school, at the doctor’s office, or even just walking down the street, and I know we’re not the only family carrying that fear. And this isn’t only about kids. Every one of us needs housing, healthcare, and other survival resources to make it through the day, plus community and opportunities that help us build full, joyful lives. InReach exists so LGBTQ+ people of all ages can find both “survive” resources like shelter, food, and medical care, and “thrive” resources like affirmation, connection, and belonging, no matter their ZIP code. Your donation keeps that lifeline strong by expanding access to verified support for everyone who needs it most.
