Beneficiary

Your participation in the Nemours Children's Health Run & Walk will benefit our Compassionate Care Fund, which restores the health of critically ill children by supporting the highest quality care for the most vulnerable children in Jacksonville and the region wherever the need is greatest.

For example, support from the Compassionate Care Fund is fundamental to our ability to care for children with chronic conditions such as eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), sickle cell disease (SCD) and cystic fibrosis (CF). Over 40% of school-aged children and adolescents in the United States have at least one chronic health condition. These patients’ health care needs can be complex and continuous, including daily management and addressing potential emergencies.
