Laying the Foundation for Community Health

The new Center for Otolaryngology will improve Jacksonville’s position as a world-class medical destination. The center will give families an unparalleled health care experience, enable us to recruit more health care providers, and dramatically increase our capacity to serve patients, conduct research and educate trainees.

Features of the new space include:

• 30% increase in patient capacity
• Enhanced spaces accommodating the needs of whole families
• Improved supportive services
• 12 new exam rooms
• Three new audiology rooms to test for hearing problems
• New rotary chair to test for vestibular (balance) disorders
• Updated communications technology to serve the needs of children with hearing loss
• Increased research capacity to develop better therapies for ENT disorders, hearing loss and related conditions
• Space to educate tomorrow’s ENT doctors, audiologists and speech-language pathologists
