In the summer of 2019 God took a pretty crazy series of events to introduce me, our Student Ministry at Hendersonville and my family to the amazing people at Jovenes! Originally headed to Jamaica with some others from our church, we ended up in Honduras because of some minuscule details and with the help of Steve Davidson and Sarah Catherine Teixeira.
Having the opportunity to spend 10 days down there afforded us time to build relationships with some incredible people, most of all the boys at JEC. They loved us. They trusted us. And most of all they showed us how God was so present on their campus and through the ways they were serving each other and the community of Zamorano. That is the impact of Jovenes.
And we get to be a part of that 365 days of the year, not just when we visit. That happens through opportunities like this. Through sponsoring the boys. Through taking what we've been given and using it to invest in the life--even world--changing work JEC is doing.
