I started getting involved with Gift of Life in May 2018. I was between jobs, and thought that facilitating donor drives could be a great way to spend my free time. I didn't realize how much of an impact this work would have on me. I have been able to help educate Birthright groups (speaking to groups of 40-200 people) and individuals at various events and conferences in Israel about GIft of Life, and successfully encouraged them to join the bone marrow registry. 

I have successful recruited nearly 1200 people into the registry, resulting in 6 matches, and 1 successful transplant! 

The cure to blood cancer and blood disease isn't in research and funding, it is within us! Through stem cell donations and bone marrow transplants, we, as individuals, have the potential to save a life. The funds raised will go to directly testing kits, which determine matches between donors and patients.
