During the annual phonathon held at the Ronald McDonald House on Feb. 5, 6, and 12, volunteers will make calls between 6:30 - 9 p.m. to encourage past donors to contribute and to thank them for their previous support. Last year, nearly $94,000 in pledges was raised for the charity’s Share-A-Night fund.
The Share-A-Night fund was created to encourage individuals to cover the cost of a family at the Ronald McDonald House for one night. It costs $66 to host one family for one night and over $1,700 a night for the entire 28-bedroom facility. The amount raised will pay for the entire 28-bedroom facility for about 48 days.
