I registered for the 3rd Annual 5K Walk/Run to End Homelessness on Saturday, September 24th at Cooper River Park in Pennsauken!

Joseph's House is an amazing organization that started in 2010 with little more than a prayer and a dream.  The vision was simple: Ending homelessness in Camden.  For the last 12 years, they've been striving to do exactly that for the thousands of people they serve annually.  

I met with an employee of Joseph's House recently and was moved by the stories that she shared about the people that have been helped by this amazing organization.  JH is doing so much more than providing a cot and a meal.  They have an all-encompassing approach to offering assistance that includes education in all areas, mental health resources, recovery resouces and more.  She told a story of one woman that had lost everything due to drinking after a loved one passed and that women went on to get her doctorate.  Other stories that she told pulled the curtain back on child sex trafficking and the people that are being helped after they are no longer valuable to the trafficking system.  These people all need help.
