Joplin Bowl For Kids Sake 2020

So as many of you know, I serve on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Jasper and Newton Counties. I have been honored to be a part of such a great organization and work with some great people.

What some people may not know is that 36 years ago, I was one of the at-risk children that was able to benefit by being matched with a "big." My time with my "big" really helped to mold me into who I have become.

For a little more than a year, I have been blessed to be serving also as "Big" I am matched up with a really cool 14 year old, Braiden. We spend time talking, laughing, hiking, working on homework, creating crafts, playing at Tilt, hitting balls at the batting cages and getting to know one another.

Now here is my plea, in our agency alone, we have a lot of kids on a waitlist. They are waiting for that adult to come along and be willing to invest in them. This could be as a lunch buddy or a community based (like me) volunteer. This takes money and volunteers.

Please consider helping the children in our community through this amazing organization.
