Our Team Fundraising Page

Through operation KARE The gentleman of the Epsilon Theta of Kappa Alpha Order, at Western Kentucky University, are seeking donations to purchase a Track chair for a wounded veteran. The chairs, while expensive, provide wounded members of our communities the opportunity to reclaim their lifestyles and their mobility. Our chapter feels that it is our duty to give back to our vets and we want to make that possible by raising the full amount for the track chair.

Kappa alpha at WKU is one of the largest organizations on campus with 85 members. On campus Kappa Alpha participates in all of the sorority’s events and winning Chi O’s philanthropy week last year. Last spring our chapter raised the eighth most out of any chapter in the country for MDA and hosted a crawfish boil with over 400 pounds of crawfish. KA is serves curbside ministry monthly and helps them set up their events. Curbside ministry is a local group in town that does ministries all over Bowling Green and provides a lot of Christmas’s to families that are less fortunate. Our chapter has always been very supportive and willing to help out in the community. When our chapter heard about operation KARE  and how we could change the life of a wounded vet, we knew it was our duty to make it happen.  We currently have active  members that serve in the military in our chapter and many members that come from military families. We are all very passionate about operation KARE and we can’t wait to give a new life to a wounded vet.
