I’m thrilled to be working with KCNQ2 Cure Alliance on a brand new project to create welcome packets for newly diagnosed families experiencing KCNQ2. 

I remember what it was like when our infant daughter received this devastating diagnosis. We experienced fear, helplessness and loneliness. By proactively reaching out to newly diagnosed families, we can share hope, information and advice from families who have gone before and invite these new parents into our community. Most of all, we want them to feel love and know that we're there for them.

We are working to assemble Welcome Packets that include a journal, pen, onesie or T-shirt, a brand new parents handbook and a science guide. We'll try to keep costs low, but printing and postage add up. 

We don't know the final cost of each packet, but it will probably cost around $40 per new family. You can sponsor a single packet or several.

We are starting this fundraiser in honor of Anastasia's fourth birthday and I've set an ambitious goal of funding packets for the first 75 families entirely through the help of family and friends so that they don't cost KCNQ2 Cure Alliance a penny.
