A Celebration of Dreams, Abilities and Community

DreamFest takes place during Down Syndrome Awareness Month, making it a powerful time for our community to come together, celebrate individuals with Down syndrome, and shine a light on their abilities, accomplishments, and contributions.

As Kern Down Syndrome Network’s biggest community celebration of the year, DreamFest brings families, friends, teams, sponsors, and supporters together at Stramler Park for a day filled with connection, joy, and purpose. Funds raised through DreamFest help support KDSN programs, resources, outreach, education, and family connection throughout Kern County.

Early Bird Registration is $10 per person and includes access to DreamFest activities, including the rock wall, inflatables, foam party, petting zoo, pony rides, crafts area, face painting, and more. Individuals with Down syndrome who start a DreamFest team receive free registration as part of our celebration.

We invite families, friends, classmates, coworkers, teachers, neighbors, businesses, community partners, and supporters to create a team in celebration of someone they love with Down syndrome. DreamFest teams will have the opportunity to be recognized on KDSN social media, helping our community celebrate the incredible individuals who inspire this event.

Start a team, join a team, donate, or come celebrate with us. Every registration, donation, and shared fundraising page helps make DreamFest possible and helps us continue building a more welcoming and inclusive community.

Why Give?

Your support brings DreamFest to life.

DreamFest is a celebration of Down Syndrome Awareness Month, but it is also a reflection of what community can make possible when we come together with purpose.

Kern Down Syndrome Network exists to serve and celebrate individuals with Down syndrome and their families right here in Kern County. Our work is centered on creating connection, sharing resources, building awareness, and making sure our local Down syndrome community has opportunities to be seen, supported, and celebrated throughout every stage of life.

Every registration, donation, team fundraiser, and sponsorship helps make that work possible. Your support helps us welcome new and expectant families, create meaningful programs, offer education and outreach, and build spaces where children, teens, adults, siblings, parents, and caregivers can connect and belong.

For businesses, organizations, and community partners, DreamFest sponsorship is a meaningful way to stand alongside local families and show your commitment to inclusion. Sponsors help bring this event to life while showing the broader community that individuals with Down syndrome deserve to be celebrated for their abilities, accomplishments, and contributions.

Whether you donate, start a team, help a team reach its goal, become a sponsor, or simply share DreamFest with others, you are helping us create something bigger than one day at the park. You are helping dreams grow across Kern County.
