Join us in taking a big leap to support literacy and education programs for underserved children as we lead up to National Reading Month in March!

KG's Kids is gearing up for our annual National Reading Month celebration in March, and we're launching a 6-week "Literacy Challenge" to make it the biggest and most impactful yet.

Beginning February 1st, we're challenging our community to come together and raise $100,000 to expand our reach and provide even more resources to the children who need them most. Your support during this critical time will help us:

  • Distribute thousands of new books to kids in low-income communities in different languages
  • Host interactive read-alongs and literacy workshops
  • Provide literacy-focused educational materials for teachers and parents
  • Offer enrichment programs for underserved students

KG's Kids Story

KG's Kids is a remarkable non-profit organization dedicated to fostering literacy in underserved communities. We believe that education is the cornerstone to unlocking the path to success for children, and our mission is driven by the inspiring story of our namesake, Kylen Granson.

Growing up, Kylen Granson, now a tight end for the Indianapolis Colts, struggled with reading. But with the encouragement of dedicated teachers and mentors, he developed a deep love for books. As Kylen describes it, "Whenever you read, you automatically expand upon the knowledge you already have, as no two books are the same. They contain different story arcs, styles, tones, themes, and are so diverse even within the same genre."

Just like the beloved Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter series, where the movies equally captured the magic of the original stories, Kylen found that the worlds he discovered through reading were often richer and more engaging than their on-screen adaptations. This transformative experience fueled his passion for literacy and inspired him to partner with KG's Kids.
