We are building a team to bring change, hope, and the chance for kids to start a new chapter and live a life of love and acceptance!
The VACO Hike Team will participate in Hike With Your Heart for our sixth year! You have a choice of how to join and support the event:
1. Mobile App - Log activity points and fundraise through VACO Hike Team page on the Kilter app.
2. Website (Qgiv) - Create your participant page right here and use a web based fundraising platform. Just click Join Our Team on the right.
The hike itself is a hybrid national event this year which means you have a choice in how you want to join in teh festivities as well.
1. Go Virtual - Join Kidsave for a 1-hour interactive virtual hike on Saturday, September 18th from your favorite hike or walk location. You can also hike when it is convenient for you and join on the 18th for all the fun. All you need is the app.

2. Go In-Person - Hike with Kidsave in LA! Join the community on Saturday, September 25th at Kenneth Hahn State Park!

Every dollar we raise can have a ripple effect for kids looking for a forever family. Kids like brothers from Colombia, Daniel, Marc, and George. For three weeks, Kidsave worked to help the children find a forever family in the U.S. as efforts to find a home in their own country had failed. When Karra and Joe met these three brothers, their world changed.
The brothers arrived for a three-week visit in Spring 2021, and as they traveled around Karra and Joe’s town, something immediately felt right. The couple made the decision to adopt...3 amazing boys!

Kidsave is a registered 501(c)(3) that gives older kids in foster care an opportunity to find connections their way. By shining a light on them and giving them the opportunity to meet and get to know adults who will become lifelong mentors or adoptive parents, we empower them with a voice and choice in who they connect with and who becomes their family.
These kids form meaningful, trusting, and lasting connections with adults who commit to being there for them, no matter what.
