In 2017, I had the life-changing opportunity to travel to Uganda and serve children deeply affected by war, at ChildVoice's residential facility, the Lukome Center. During my time there, I facilitated art therapy to support healing from trauma that words alone could never express. I learned that love doesn’t always need language—it shows itself through action, presence, and genuine, empathetic care.
Working with vulnerable populations, especially those affected by trafficking, has become a lifelong mission that rests close to my heart. Now, nearly ten years later, I feel called to return to Africa and support ChildVoice in their vital work of restoration and recovery for children and families who have endured unimaginable hardship.
To raise awareness and support for this mission, I will be trekking Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa! This journey will be a new and humbling endeavor for me—a challenge of heart, mind, body, and spirit. As I train and prepare, I am committed to giving everything I can to uplift this cause.
Join Me on This Journey
I cannot do this alone. With your help, we can bring hope, healing, and opportunity to children who deserve a future full of safety and possibility. Every donation, big or small, carries profound impact. Your generosity will directly support my fundraising efforts tied to the Kilimanjaro trek, and provide resources and programming of healing and restoration, rebuilding their lives!
Thank you for believing in this mission and for prayerfully walking alongside me—step by step—up this mountain and beyond.
