Hiking to 19,000 feet and camping for 8 days is totally out of my box, but my discomfort is nothing compared to helping to save lives. I will be climbing with 17 other kidney donors who, like me, would donate again if they could. Instead, we are climbing to raise money for awareness of the need for living donors- heathy people who can still live an active life after donation.

Last May, many people said I was a hero. YOU can be a hero too:

I started my training hiking in WV in late June. It was a great confirmation my new boots were comfortable for a 3 hour hike on rocky terrain. I'll update here as my training continues. Thanks to Tom and Bogey for being my training partners.
