In the spring of 2026 I’m joining a group of fellow kidney donors to climb Mount Kilimanjaro — the tallest peak in Africa — to prove something powerful: you can live a full, active, and adventurous life with just one kidney. We’re doing this to raise awareness about the life-saving impact of living kidney donation and to challenge outdated assumptions about what donors can do. Every step we take is for the thousands still waiting for a match — and for the countless others who may not realize they have the power to save a life.
