Running for Buster

I'm running the 2019 5K for Kitten Rescue to raise funds for Buster's care. You can see Buster's video here.

Kitten Rescue saved Buster from a high kill shelter after his people surrendered him after 15 years. There weren't a lot of foster or adoption offers for him, so Buster lived in the Kitten Rescue nursery for the first few months of his life. When kitten season started, the nursery staff became concerned about Buster picking up germs from the kittens, so a plea went out again to find him a foster home. Santito's Auntie and Uncle stepped up and took him in to join their other FIV+ senior Kitten Rescue cat, Dax. Buster loves being in a foster home and loves his brother Dax. After a few months, however, his health began to decline and he started having trouble breathing. He was rushed to a specialist and diagnosed with heart failure. It was touch and go for a while, as Buster's cardiologists tried to find the right medication regimen for him. His condition is now stabilized and he is doing great. His continued care is expensive, but Kitten Rescue believes that Buster deserves the longest highest quality life possible. Kitten Rescue has spent $2624.74 on Buster's care so far, and he requires $85 worth of meds monthly as well as $110 cardiologist reassessment every 3 months.

EVERY DONATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

$20 will pay for a month of Buster's Furosemide (heart medication)
$25 will pay for a month of his Renal K supplement (kidney supplement)
$45 will pay for a month of his Vetmeden (heart medication)
$85 will pay for an ultrasound of Buster's heart
$110 will pay for one of Buster's cardiology reassessments (he has one every 3 months)
$225 will pay for the procedure to remove fluid from his lungs, which he had twice before his condition stabilized
$2624.74 will pay for all of Buster's care to date
