In Honor of Victoria Sandoval

The Moment of Stillness

March 17, 2017, Friday, was the day we got the heart-wrenching news that our baby had died. We were at a 24-week ultrasound when the technician asked, "when was the last time you felt your baby move?" At that moment, our hearts dropped, and shock overwhelmed us. 

This was / is our first child. Throughout the pregnancy, all was healthy and no / low risk. Genetic screenings and prenatal exams all showed signs of abundance and activity. Pictures of her in utero consistently captured a growing baby girl. 

March 20, 2017, Monday, at 3:00PM, was the moment when our baby Victoria Sandoval entered and exited the world at the same time. After delivering her at Cedars-Sinai Hospital, we got to hold her, spend time with her, along with immediate family members and close friends. 

Her stillbirth reinforced our parenthood. 

And Now

Today, we are still trying to navigate through loss while trying to conceive. 

We hope and pray we will be blessed with a second child, living, breathing, and thriving into a full life.
