With the unwavering leadership, support, and bravery of both Governor J.B. Pritzker and Mayor Lori Lightfoot, we as Chicagoans can also help to make a difference in our community by providing resources to those in need, some for the very first time. In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, Chicago's police officers, firefighters, first responders, and health care professionals are working tirelessly in the fight to save lives and treat those infected. Although we are under a stay-at-home order, working from home and responsible for our children's remote learning, we can and must try to help our fellow neighbors who may be struggling with food insecurity during this time. Children, veterans, people with disabilities and the working poor make up 1 out of every 7 Chicago residents that struggle with attaining meals and with 40 percent of Chicagoans living in economic hardship before the crisis, we can only imagine the circumstances being faced with our current financial instability.

SIRENbyDesign was graciously welcomed to the Lakeview neighborhood a few years ago and we are committed to helping our community in any way that we can. Our goal is to raise $10,000 for the Lakeview Pantry, which will provide 80,000 meals in the Chicagoland area! Our staff is asking you all for your help with any donation but most importantly, reminding those who may need food assistance to register with the Lakeview Pantry for grocery pick up or home delivery. Each and every one of us is being asked to sacrifice but our city and our nation are resilient. Can I count on your support as we all fight through this together?
