Lakeview Pantry is committed to remaining open and serving the community through the COVID-19 pandemic. They have seen a 410% increase in the number of individuals coming to them for food and a 67% increase in demand for social services. The Pantry anticipates that the effects of this pandemic will last for months after the city reopens and is purchasing large quantities of food in order to continue distributing needed groceries to our hungry neighbors.

The increased demand that the current pandemic has brought has created higher than anticipated expenses for Lakeview Pantry. The annual End Hunger Social fundraiser was canceled this spring due to health and safety concerns, leaving a gap in the Pantry's funding. Community support is more important than ever in order to keep Lakeview Pantry's emergency food and social services programs available in our communities.
