The LAST HURRAH!
Since 1988, Hackers for Hope has raised over $17 million with a mission to provide funding for local cancer center research and treatment centers in the metro New York region. Primary beneficiaries include Memorial Sloan Kettering, Weill Cornell Medical Center, Bennett Cancer Center and Cannonball Kids Cancer Center.
Each year, Hackers for Hope raises funds primarily through an annual golf outing event held in Darien, CT. Anywhere between 12-20 golfers play as many holes of golf as possible in a single day. Friends, colleagues and supporters sponsor teams or individuals through per-hole pledges or outright donations.
This year marks a special capstone event, celebrating both the extraordinary accomplishments of this tremendous charity as well as honor the legacy of its founders, Tim Brown and Alfred Smith. On Friday, October 15th, 2021, Hackers for Hope will hold its 33rd and final fundraiser.
Many of you who've had the privilege of witnessing my golf game can testify I'm a true "hacker" with very little "hope" for improvement. Please don't let that discourage you from donating. I welcome you to support my team's effort in raising funds for one last grant to a very worthy cause. Thank you for any help you might be willing to provide!
