A decade of dedication!
Honor Bruce's legacy with a donation today!
We’re proud to celebrate this milestone as we honor Bruce’s legacy leading to allied victories that move our region towards greater resilience, including:
-
Playing a critical role in the City of LA’s breaking ground on a major wastewater purification project (2025) that will help recharge the San Fernando Valley groundwater basin and by 2027 will meet about a third of the valley’s water needs;
-
Helping secure $280M/year for stormwater capture projects through the Safe Clean Water Program (2018) that has already allocated more than $1B towards projects that are reducing water pollution, capturing runoff to reuse during drought, and green local communities;
-
Pushing back against draconian budget cuts that would have decimated environmental programs in the City of LA (2025), helping save dozens of jobs needed to protect local waterways from trash and other pollution, restore the LA River, and promote environmental justice and climate resiliency in the city.
-
Stopping a harmful desalination project planned along the coast, in favor of more sustainable and local alternatives like wastewater recycling and stormwater capture (2021);
-
Supporting the adoption of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California's Climate Adaptations Master Plan for Water (CAMP4W) to guide future climate-smart water investments in the region.
Help us celebrate Bruce's 10 years of leadership at LA Waterkeeper by making a donation to the 'Great Cities Start with Great Water' campaign.
Your support enables us to continue tackling LA's toughest water problems at their source, ensuring every Angeleno has access to clean, safe, and reliable water for generations to come. Every donation—big or small—helps us reach our goal and makes a real difference.

Why This Matters
“Water is life” is more than a phrase–it’s reality! Water shapes our survival, health, and resilience.
Water is at the center of Los Angeles’ most urgent climate and infrastructure challenges. Too much water during floods, too little during droughts, and other critical vulnerabilities in our aging systems create risks for every neighborhood.
Yet we still fail to treat water with the respect and protection it deserves—wasting it, polluting it, and taking it for granted as it becomes increasingly scarce.
But with your help, a different future is within reach. When you support LA Waterkeeper, you fuel the local solutions—stormwater capture, wastewater recycling, groundwater restoration—that strengthen our region’s resilience for the long term.
