With all of our racers, plus spectators and organizers, parking can be a challenge on Festival Day. Of course the best way to get to the festival is to walk, bike, skateboard, take the bus or car pool. We’re going to make this year’s festival as green as can be. You can help by leaving your car in the driveway!
Bicycles
A secure bike valet through Local Motion will be set on Waterfront Park for your convenience. Leave your car at home and enjoy our beautiful city on a bike! Any tips in the Bike Valet’s tip jar at the end of the day are donated to the Festival–so be good to your valet!!!
Buses
Green Mountain Transit routes run throughout the city and surrounding areas to the downtown area. The “City Loop, #8” comes closest to Waterfront park at the intersection of College and Battery Streets. Fares are free and run every hour on Sunday. See the route here. Check out other GMT bus routes here.
Parking
Use the interactive Burlington Parking Map to find a spot that works for you. Limited parking will be available at the waterfront parking lots–but these are first come, first serve and not under Dragonheart’s control. There is limited parking available in the field next to Foam Brewers on Lake Street and the waterfront park that will be manned by Festival Parking volunteers–but this usually fills up by 8:00 a.m. Remember that all city-owned metered parking and parking garages are FREE on Sundays!
Drop Off
We know someone on your team will need to drop off your tent, coolers, camp site decorations, and other gear. There will be a drop off location near Athlete’s Village. Just follow the drop-off signs down Lake Street to the drop off location and have your passengers unload the gear right near Athlete’s Village while you exit via Depot Street and go park your car.
Handicapped Parking
There is limited handicapped parking available near the waterfront. Every effort will be made to enable access by an individual with a disability. To help us make accommodations, please contact us a minimum of three days prior to the event.
