The Lighthouse of Central Florida has helped some many people with vision impairments. My Dad, The late George Koch attended their classes where he learned how to lead a productive life, he also published a book "Thoughts of Past" which was about his life growing up in New York, Getting married and having four kids, then moving to Florida. Without the encouragement and help from the Lighthouse staff, he never would of pursued his dream of writing and publishing the book. Each year, he took classes and also participated in the Sight and Sole walk and won awards for the top donations.
My family has continued to support the Lighthouse of Central Florida and hasn't missed participating in the Sight and Sole Walks for the past 15 years.
