The 2016 WNBA season marks Tamika's final year of playing for the Indiana Fever. Throughout her 16 year career, she has worked as tirelessly in the community as she has on the court with her Catch the Stars Foundation.
The mission of the Catch the Stars Foundation is to empower youth to achieve their dreams & goals by providing goal setting programs that promote LITERACY, FITNESS and MENTORING. Over the past decade, CTSF has IMPACTED over 10,000 local Indianapolis youth between the ages of 7-18.
The goal of the Legacy Fundraising campaign is to raise $100,000 between May-September 18th which is Catchings' final regular season game and to increase awareness of the Catch the Stars Foundation. These funds will support the foundation's goals and objectives including expanding its programming into 11 new cities in 2017.
