Violet Peterman was born sleeping at 39 weeks and 1 day gestation on September 1, 2023. On that day, we became part of a statistic that nobody ever wants to be a part of.
In the United States, roughly 21,000–26,000 babies are stillborn every year — meaning approximately 1 in 160 pregnancies ends in stillbirth.
Behind every statistic is a baby. A name. A family. A story. A life that mattered.
The Star Legacy Foundation Annual Walk has become incredibly important to our family. It is a beautiful way for us to honor Violet and remember all of the babies who were taken too soon.
Star Legacy has played an instrumental role in our grief journey. Through support groups, resources, and the lifelong connections we’ve made with other loss families, we have found comfort in knowing that we are not alone in this journey.
We hope you will join us and walk alongside us for a cause that is so near and dear to our hearts — to honor our babies, raise awareness, support grieving families, and keep their memories alive.
