This will be our fourth year; I cannot believe it. My Sweet, Beautiful Little Angel, in such a short time, you have made a huge impact on so many.

On Saturday, February 11th, 2023, our family and friends celebrated Callie Rae’s Baby Shower, the most beautiful day filled with so much love, happiness and excitement. On Wednesday, February 15th, I had my 37-week appointment. A “picture perfect” pregnancy; I was told to have my hospital bags ready as Callie would most likely be here within the next week. On Friday, February 17th, I noticed Callie wasn't moving while I was having dinner. Callie always moved while I was eating. I went to the hospital for peace of mind, telling my mom who was watching Callie's older brother, that I knew I was overreacting but needed to go. On February 17th, I heard the words no mother should ever have to hear. On Saturday, February 18th, 2023, at 9:06AM, Callie Rae Pisano was born sleeping at 37 ½ weeks. The most beautiful little girl, 5 lbs. 12.5 oz, 18.5 in. Brown hair, the cutest little nose, her mommy’s ears. Born an Angel. We were given no answers; I was told there was no medical explanation after testing. Shortly thereafter, I learned 1 of every 160 deliveries in the United States results in stillbirth and 2/3 of all will never know the cause. This is where The Star Legacy Foundation comes in.

The Star Legacy Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to reducing pregnancy loss and neonatal death and improving care for families who experience such tragedies. The foundation is a community of families, health professionals, researchers, policy makers and individuals dedicated to helping every pregnancy have a happy ending. Their mission is to increase awareness, support research, promote education, and encourage advocacy and family support regarding pregnancy loss and infant death.

As a Family, we remember, talk about and honor Callie Rae each and every day. The Star Legacy Foundation has become very near and dear to our hearts. We look forward to participating in their events throughout each year, as they have become a part of our beloved “Callie Rae Days”.

Please join us for the 2026 Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Walk on Sunday, November 1st at Belmont Lake State Park in West Babylon, NY. If you cannot join us, please consider donating to Team Callie Rae as all proceeds benefit stillbirth awareness, research, education and family support programs within the Star Legacy Foundation.

From our Family to you and yours, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Callie Rae, Our Sweet, Beautiful Little Angel, we love and miss you every second of every day. You will forever be honored.
