EVENT INFORMATION

It's time to LACE'EM UP for Epilepsy on Sunday, August 13th in Long Beach CA  by joining NFL Quarterback Brett Hundley and the Hundley for our FIRST EVER Lace 'Em Up for Epilepsy Walk, Long Beach. This walk is a fun and fabulous community event where we literally get to walk ON THE BEACH! What a great way to enjoy the summer with friends and family, while at the same time give everyone an opportunity share their stories of epilepsy while connecting with others walking the same path (literally). By walking and talking, we are able to inspire others to do the same. As our numbers grow, even more people will take notice so we can raise even more awareness - more awareness = more funding = more research = A CURE.

Although it is the 5th largest city in CA, Long Beach is HUGELY underserved when it comes to epilepsy support and programs. There are approximately 17,000 people in Long Beach that are currently living with epilepsy, however due to Long Beach's location as the southernmost city in LA County and the northernmost city in Orange County, individuals with epilepsy are falling through the cracks. The good news is that we are going to change that, but we need your help! Please join our fund-raising efforts to begin providing and offering programs and services for individuals living with epilepsy in Long Beach and other underserved areas in California. We invite you to join so many others to be a part of this historic day as the first ever epilepsy walk - of any kind - in the city of Long Beach! Help us make a difference by joining the walk and starting the epilepsy conversation today!

  • Epilepsy affects over 17,000 people in Long Beach and nearly 500,000 throughout the entire state.
  • 1-26 will be diagnosed with epilepsy in their lifetime.
  • 1-100 adults have epilepsy.
  • 1-50 children will be diagnosed with epilepsy.

Your donation allows us to help individuals battling epilepsy today and those who will be diagnosed tomorrow.

Information about the Walk is provided below. More information will be updated from now until the event. We will be sending emails to all registrants. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact us at 1-800-606-2390 or info@hundleyfoundation.org
